Installation

Three minutes to a cleaner model.

The installer places the right build in your Revit Add-ins folder. Close Revit before starting.

Install the runtime

.NET 8 is the target for Revit 2026. For download the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime x64 if it is missing.

Run the v1.0.0 installer

Choose the Revit 2026 component in the setup wizard. It copies the matching plugin and manifest automatically.

Restart Revit

Open Revit and look for the FilterMore Tools tab. Press F1 on any FilterMore button to return here.

Common fixes

When something feels off.

FilterMore tab is missing +

Close every Revit window, confirm the installer created %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2026\FilterMorePlugin, then reopen Revit.

F1 does nothing +

Use the latest installer so the button help link points to this deployed help center. F1 is available when your cursor is over a FilterMore ribbon button.

Plugin loads with an error +

Make sure the installer component matches your Revit version. Do not copy a .NET 8 or .NET 10 DLL into Revit 2023 or 2024.
